Glenn Burks, PhD, PE

PRINCIPAL, DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES

Glenn A. Burks is the Founding Partner of the Environmental Division at Group Delta Consultants. He is nationally recognized for his work in Green Remediation and served as one of the principal authors of the ASTM Standard Guide to Greener Cleanups (ASTM E2893-13).

Dr. Burks has over 27 years of diverse environmental engineering consulting experience, with an emphasis on technical and project management for site investigations, remediation, and hazardous materials handling projects. Dr. Burks has managed environmental components of large-scale construction projects and served as the technical lead on large-scale soil and groundwater remediation projects located at airports, regional groundwater extraction systems, constructed wetlands, industrial facilities, rail yards, and educational facilities.

 

Michael Cassidy, PG, CHG

PRINCIPAL GEOLOGIST, PFAS PRACTICE LEADER

Mr. Cassidy has more than 32 years of diverse environmental consulting experience, with an emphasis on litigation support, site investigations, remediation, and negotiations with regulatory agencies. Mr. Cassidy has managed site assessment and remediation, including Phase I and Phase II site assessments; and remediation via soil vapor extraction, dual-phase extraction, large-scale bioremediation, chemical injection, excavation, product recovery trenches, and monitored natural attenuation. 

Mr. Cassidy has interacted with government agencies at the federal, state, county, and local levels including EPA Region 9, DTSC, multiple Regional Water Quality Control Boards, the City of San Diego, County of San Diego, City of LA, and LA County. He has provided technical support prior to and during litigation with responsible parties, property owners, insurance firms, and various government agencies. He has provided expert witness testimony and litigation support regarding numerous environmentally impacted properties.  Mr. Cassidy has been deposed multiple times, provided declarations, assisted attorneys in preparing deposition questions for other experts, participated in and provided exhibits for mediation, and testified at trial.

Brian Dean

ASSOCIATE ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Mr. Dean has over 30 years of experience in environmental site investigation and remediation. He has managed projects varying in size from $50,000 to $22-million. He has executed all phases of environmental projects including preliminary environmental assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial designs, remediation system construction, operation and maintenance, decontamination and deactivation of manufacturing facilities, and site verification and closure.

Mr. Dean has interacted with numerous government agencies at the federal, state, county, and local levels including EPA Region 9, Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC), Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB), City of LA, and LA County. He has provided technical support during defense-related litigation, arbitration, and mediation with responsible parties, property owners, insurance firms, and federal or state governments.
